Fishing the marsh primarily, what are benefits of having a fish finder on my kayak?

I only use mine in the marsh alot during the winter looking for holes holding fish. During the summer I use it for drop offs and such around the openings in marsh.

other than a rudder and a fish finder, what other items do you feel necessary on a kayak, as far as rigging....not rod holders, crate, but maybe something that would be a bit extravagant and others may not view as necessary.

Don't skim on your paddle. A good paddle will make a big difference with how efficiently you move. Look for something with little weight but covers a big surface area. Trust me a heavy paddle will make you tired quicker and reduce the distance you can cover as a result.
